This Privacy Policy explains how ChatPRD, LLC ("ChatPRD," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses and discloses information when you use our websites and services (collectively, the "Service") and describes the choices you have about your data.

Scope and Related Documents

This policy applies to information we process when you use the Service, including at chatprd.ai and app.chatprd.ai. If you access the Service through a company or team workspace, your organization may control how your data is used within the Service.

Related documents include our Terms of Service, our Data Processing Addendum, our Subprocessors list and our Security Policy. If the DPA applies, it governs our processing of Customer Content and any personal data contained in that content.

Roles (Controller vs. Processor)

Depending on how you use the Service, ChatPRD may act as a “data controller” or “data processor” (or similar concepts under applicable law):

• Processor: When a company or workspace uses the Service, ChatPRD generally processes Customer Content and related personal data on the Customer’s behalf.
• Controller: ChatPRD acts as a controller for personal data we process for our own business purposes, such as account creation, billing, security, website analytics and marketing.

Information We Collect

• Account & profile information: name, email address and authentication identifiers.
• Billing information: billing contact details and payment metadata (payment card details are handled by our payment processor).
• Customer Content: prompts, documents, files and integration data submitted to the Service.
• Usage & device data: logs and analytics data such as IP address, device or browser type, timestamps and interaction data.
• Support communications: information you provide when contacting our support team.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, security, functionality and analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings and, where available, our cookie consent controls.

How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, secure and maintain the Service
• Authenticate users and prevent abuse
• Process subscriptions and payments
• Provide support and communicate service updates
• Analyze usage to improve performance and reliability
• Send marketing communications where permitted (you can opt out at any time)

AI and Machine Learning

The Service includes AI features that process inputs (which may include Customer Content) to generate outputs:

• No training on Customer Content: We do not use Customer Content to train general AI models.
• Aggregated/de-identified improvements: We may use aggregated and de-identified data derived from use of the Service to maintain and improve the Service (including performance, reliability and safety). We do not attempt to re-identify de-identified data except as required by law or to validate de-identification.
• External AI providers: We may use third‑party AI providers as subprocessors/service providers to provide the Service, subject to contractual restrictions. See our Subprocessors list for details.

How We Share Information

We may share information with:

• Service providers/subprocessors: Vendors that help us operate the Service (e.g., hosting, analytics, support tooling, payment processing, AI providers) under contracts that limit their use of personal data.
• Integrations you enable: Third‑party services (such as Slack, Jira or Linear) at your direction. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
• Legal, safety and enforcement recipients: If required to comply with law or valid legal process, or to protect rights, safety and security.
• Business transfers: In connection with financings, acquisitions or asset sales, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

Advertising and "Sale/Share" (California)

ChatPRD does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for cross‑context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA. We may use analytics and similar technologies to understand Service usage and improve performance. If our data practices change in the future (for example, if we introduce targeted advertising features), we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any required notices and opt‑out rights under applicable law.

Retention

We retain personal data for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements and maintain security.

International Transfers

We may process information in the United States and other locations where we and our service providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate transfer safeguards as described in our DPA.

Your Rights and Choices

• Account settings: You may update certain account information via your account settings.
• Account deletion: You may delete your account via self‑service settings (where available) or by contactinghello@chatprd.ai. We may retain certain information as required or permitted by law (for example, security, compliance, fraud prevention and recordkeeping).
• Marketing opt‑out: You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time via the link in the message or by contacting us.
• Jurisdictional rights: If you are in a jurisdiction with specific rights (e.g., EEA/UK or California), you may have rights to access, delete, correct or restrict processing of your personal data. Some requests may need to be directed to your workspace administrator; we will assist Customers as required under our DPA.

Security

We use commercially reasonable safeguards designed to protect information. No system is 100% secure. Additional details about our practices are available in our Security Policy.

Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last Updated” date at the top indicates when it was last revised. If changes are material, we will provide notice as required by law.
